Cattle identification system
Each cow is provided with a sensor attached to its leg that serves as its identifier and pace counter at the same time. The cow is identified by its sensor in the milking parlour, on the weighting platform, while walking through the sorting gates and at the individual feed dispenser. The pace counter enables control of the cow’s activity. Changes in activity allows to detect heat periods and physical state of the animal.
