Development of homogeneous feed technologies is stimulating demand for feed mixers.
Using feed mixer the whole year round allows the farm to considerably increase milk yields and to improve health of the animals. This type of fodder is called Unifeed and consists of several components: corn, straw, hay, several concentrates etc.
This system allows to provide the cattle with different types of mixed fodder. Feed mixer is an effective tool to provide a balanced menu controlling each fodder component. Besides feed mixer promotes farm operation quality.
The main advantages of the Unifeed system are:

Italmix company manufactures drawn and mobile feed mixers provided with vertical or horizontal augers. In recent years vertical auger mixers were becoming more popular, because they had proved to be more efficient in making homogeneous high quality mixed fodder. Horizontal mixers have some disadvantages, main of which is that the product is pressed down to the bottom heating. It provokes fermentation that may cause digestive disorders in cattle.
Italmix is the first manufacturer in the world that has offered a vertical 3-auger model called Triplex (drawn). The new model was patented and sold with a great success in the European market.
The mixing bowls of mixers produced by Italmix represent one-piece units unlike other bowls available in the market with different parts fixed by screw bolts. The bottom and walls are significantly thicker (and, consequently the operating life is longer) than those of the models produced by competitors. Besides all our models are equipped with counterknives which allows to reduce mixing time increasing homogeneity and quality of the product.
When used properly our mixers distinguish themselves through their durability. All repair and maintenance conditions are specified in the manual in Russian. Many of our mixers had been working for 15,000 hours before first repairs.
